Jeffrey Lancaster, Church Planter
For 38 years, church planter Jeffrey Lancaster has been working with people from diverse backgrounds and experiences. As an ordained Presbyterian minister, he has worked with young professionals, students, seniors, and families in urban centers, college students in university settings, and a wide range of age groups in small towns, inner cities, and even prisons.
As a part of his church planting endeavor in Chicago, he currently serves as a Work/Life Community Chaplain in the city operating primarily out of his WeWork office in the River North community.
Jeffrey has previously participated in the planting of three vibrant churches in Oxford, Mississippi; New Orleans, Louisiana; and Memphis, Tennessee.
Jeffrey earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Mississippi and a Master of Divinity from Reformed Theological Seminary. He serves under the oversight of the Rivers & Lakes Presbytery of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church (That’s the historic use of the term “Evangelical” not the current politically hijacked use of the term).
Jeffrey currently lives in the Wrigleyville neighborhood with his wife, Cathy who owns and operates a gallery nearby. They are proud parents to three grown children Lucy, Jeffrey Jr. (wife Anne Russell), and Bedon (wife Caroline), and a dog, Mollie. They love to hit up jazz clubs, attend concerts, play golf, tour the Art Institute, catch Cubs’ games, cook for friends in their home, and explore all Chicago has to offer.

Vision, Mission, & Values
-
We dream of seeing lives, relationships, and the social fabric of Chicago flourishing anew through the redeeming love and resurrecting power of Jesus Christ.
-
We’re a welcoming community of Christ followers celebrating Jesus, growing together as his family, loving our neighbors and city as he has loved us, and sharing his mission to make all things new.
-
We love place: We celebrate and serve in our neighborhoods, our city, and our world. We seek to accentuate the beauty and play our part in helping heal the brokenness.
We love people: People matter a lot. We love through words and actions and treat everyone as an image bearer of almighty God. We are a hospitable place for anyone who wants to experience a warm community, and, if they’re so inclined, to wrestle honestly with what it means to follow Christ.
We stay grounded: We are anchored in the historic Christian faith.
We share a calling: We are called to follow Christ in every arena of life longing for his resurrecting power and healing peace to spread.
We work as a team: We joyfully work to equip every member to be a ministry servant.
